Spoke to my former partner in TAS and told him what had been happening. I had actually been keeping in touch with him over the past year, telling him personally whenever I made a move.
I went in with basically 4 things I could have asked but couldn't be certain he would give. Incredibly, he gave them all:
- Position in financial modelling team
- Manager position (a position I would only be at in July if I had stayed since last year)
- Promise of only modelling work and no accounting valuation/litigation support work
- Help with the M&A team's modelling work
It's a really good offer and is almost like the story of the Prodigal Son according to ky. (Except that he's not my father! hahaha)
I truly believe this is a blessing from God after all the learning experiences I have gone through. Will share on that soon...
